The University of Calgary is a public research university located in Calgary, Alberta. It was founded in 1966 and has 30,500 students . The university has two primary campuses in the city: Main Campus and Health Sciences Campus (which includes the Foothills Medical Centre). The main campus is located north of downtown Calgary near Banff Trail, while the HSC campus is located on a hillside at the west end of downtown Calgary.

Main Campus, which is located in the northwest quadrant of downtown Calgary. This is where most undergraduate students attend classes, and it includes such landmarks as the Central Academic Building (CAB), MacHall, and McMahon Stadium.

Health Sciences Campus (HSC), also known as Foothills Medical Centre or FMC. Located on a hill north-west of downtown Calgary, this campus houses all medical students as well as several other faculties including Nursing and Dentistry.

Our campus is located in the vibrant city of Calgary, Alberta and is surrounded by spectacular natural landscapes such as the Rocky Mountains, canyons and rivers. Our campus is easily accessible by car or public transportation from downtown Calgary.

The Main Campus is located on 90th Avenue NW in northwest Calgary near Westbrook Mall shopping centre. The university’s address is 4001 – 24th Street NW; however, our mailing address is P.O. Box 16020, T2N 4N4 (Main Campus).

We are open daily from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with exceptions on statutory holidays when we are closed unless there’s an emergency situation requiring our staff to be present on site during those hours due to special circumstances such as severe weather conditions or power outages caused by storms/tornados (this has happened before). The main entrance to the Health Sciences campus is located on University Drive at Banff Trail. You can reach this location from downtown Calgary by taking Crowchild Trail westbound or Deerfoot Trail southbound to University Drive. The Health Sciences campus will be on your right-hand side after you cross 24th Street SE.
