Trinity University is a private, coeducational, liberal arts university in San Antonio, Texas. It comprises three separate and distinct colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences; the School of Business; and the Jones Graduate School of Social Work.
The school was founded in 1869 by a group that included J.M. Nueces (former governor of Texas), Mary E. Smith Daniels (the first woman to found a college west of the Mississippi River), William Randolph Hearst, Sr., and John Henry Kirby Linn. Trinity’s student body consists of approximately 4,500 undergraduate students with over 40% being from outside Texas. The university offers more than 40 undergraduate majors including architectural studies/design as well as master’s degrees in architecture or business administration plus doctorates in education leadership/higher education administration along with many other graduate programs across all three colleges.[4]
