Your first step is to submit the UC Application online by November 30.

All applicants must submit the following items by November 30:

  • A $70 application fee (cashier’s check) made payable to UC Regents
  • Official high school transcripts and official test scores, sent directly from the testing agency, school or colleges attended
  • Letters of recommendation should be submitted by each recommenders via the UC Application website. You will need names and email addresses for your recommenders when you complete your application.

If your academic level is advanced and you have not taken college classes, you are considered a transfer applicant.

If you are in high school, or have completed high school and never attended college, you are considered a freshman applicant.

If you have taken college classes after high school (or will before enrolling at UCLA), you are considered a transfer applicant.

If you want to complete the second bachelor’s degree, UCLA does not offer this option.

  • You must be in good academic standing at the last college or university you attended.
  • You must have completed all of the UC admission requirements except for the final 60 semester/90 quarter UC-transferable units of coursework described above, which students can complete while enrolled as upper-division undergraduates at UCLA.
  • You must complete a minimum of 60 semester/90 quarter UC-transferable units with at least a 2.4 GPA after earning your first bachelor’s degree, but before you enroll in UCLA as an upper-division transfer student seeking your second bachelor’s degree (please see our GPA Calculator for help on calculating your GPA). Please note that some majors may require higher GPAs for admission consideration.
