This fee may not be applied to a new application in the future and cannot be refunded if you do not attend or are not admitted.
Submitting an application
To apply, you’ll need to:
- Submit an online application. The application fee is $35 (nonrefundable).
- Provide transcripts from all high schools attended. You’ll need a copy of your high school transcript for each school listed on your application. If you graduated from high school in another country, you must submit a certificate of graduation from that country’s Ministry of Education.
- Provide ACT or SAT scores (if applicable). Contact ACT at (319) 337-1270 or SAT at (866) 756-7243 for information about taking these tests and submitting scores to Missouri State University if necessary. Please note that the university does not accept AP or IB exam results as equivalent to college coursework taken at a US institution; however, they may be used as evidence of academic achievement in lieu of test scores in some cases.

The MSU online application is required and must be submitted by February 15 for fall admission. The fee is $35 and nonrefundable. You may pay this fee online or by mail, but it cannot be paid in person at the University’s campus in Springfield or any other location; faxed applications will not be accepted either. If you are already a current student at MSU, please contact your academic advisor before applying to ensure you have met all requirements for transfer students and understand how your credits will transfer into the program of interest.
