However, if you are not a professional then it might be challenging to identify your profession because many people in non-professional occupations have multiple jobs and roles at the same time.

For example, if you are an American citizen by birth but have lived in Canada for the past 30 years, your country of origin would be the United States, not Canada.

In some cases this can cause confusion when a student’s passport contains different information than their visa application form. This is why it’s so important to know and understand your official status before applying for a student visa in China. If you try to apply as a Canadian citizen with an American passport, or vice versa, it will be noticed and you may be denied entry into China until further documentation has been provided (possibly months).

When you click on this link, you will be redirected to the SICAS website and prompted to log in before proceeding with your application. The login information you used when registering with us will also be your login information for SICAS. If it is your first time logging into the SICAS system, please follow these steps:

• Enter your email address for username and register a password
• After registration, log in with your email address and new password
• Select “Pay Online” from the top menu bar (you will only see this option if you have already submitted an application)
• Select “My Applications” from the dropdown menu that appears
• Check off the box next to “Apply in China” underneath each of your applications
