The deadline for the University of Arizona is December 15. However, there are deadlines for each semester (fall, spring, summer and winter) so it’s important to check the appropriate term dates before you apply.

Choose your area of study

If you haven’t chosen a major, now is the time to do so. The University of Arizona offers over 300 majors and minors.

Accept your offer of admission

To accept your offer of admission, you must complete orientation and registration. Next, you will apply for financial aid. Please be sure to check your email regularly! The calendar below provides an overview of upcoming dates and deadlines that are important for you to remember as you move through the application process:

• Fall 2019 Orientation – Monday, August 19th through Friday, August 23rd
• Fall 2019 Registration – Monday, August 19th through Friday, August 23rd (online) & Saturday August 24th (in person). Registration is closed on Friday but pops up again on Saturday at 8am MST/11am EST
• Financial Aid Applications Open – September 1st at midnight PST (5pm GMT) or later if the university receives a large volume of applications before then. This includes both domestic undergraduate FAFSA as well as out-of-state applications with a nonresident supplemental form. We recommend submitting your FAFSA no later than October 1st in order not to delay any additional aid requests once they open up again next month which may include scholarships which require additional documentation after filing tax returns

Complete orientation and registration

You must complete orientation and registration. During orientation, you will meet with an academic advisor to discuss your educational goals, plan your schedule of classes, and begin completing course work for the semester. You will also explore the services offered by the university’s departments and learn about its resources.

Registration is where you register for classes and pay tuition, fees, and books if applicable.

The more prepared you are, the easier it will be.

If you’re not sure what you want to study, start by looking at the general admission requirements. You can apply to multiple majors but will only be admitted into one major. If you aren’t admitted into your chosen major, don’t panic! We offer a process called “appeal.” If you are denied admission, we encourage applicants to appeal if they feel their application was incomplete or misunderstood. Appeals allow students who have been rejected the opportunity to gain admittance into their preferred major and begin taking courses on campus.

Appeals go through a rigorous review process with multiple levels of approval including: department chairs, academic advisors, program directors and directors of academic services who review each student’s appeal individually before making decisions about acceptance at UA Online; therefore there may be no guarantee that an applicant will be admitted even after an appeal has been submitted successfully because these decisions are made by committee based on several factors in addition too being fully qualified academically according
