Lynchburg University baseball is one of the top collegiate baseball programs in the country. The team has fielded squads that have competed in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship tournament multiple times, and they currently have four players on the MLB Draft radar.
The University of Lynchburg Baseball Team
The University of Lynchburg Baseball Team was founded in 2011 and competes in the NCAA Division III Eastern Regional. The team has had some success in its short history, making it to the NCAA Tournament twice (2015, 2016).
The University of Lynchburg Baseball Team is a relatively young organization, founded only in 2011. Nonetheless, it has already achieved some impressive results, making it to the NCAA Tournament twice (2015, 2016). The first time they advanced as far as the Elite Eight. In the 2015 tournament they narrowly lost to North Alabama 2-1 after having beaten East Tennessee State 5-1 and Wesleyan 7-1 in earlier rounds. However, they were back at it in 2016 and reached the Elite Eight for a third time. This time they were narrowly defeated by Lewis & Clark 2-1.
Despite their successful past, there are still some areas that the team can improve on. For example, fielding is one of their main weak points. They currently have a .913 fielding percentage which is well below average for this level of competition. The University of Lynchburg Baseball program is a Division II program that has been around since 1962. The team plays in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and has a record of 1,497-1,043. In the 2006 season, they finished with a 39-26 record and were ranked #14 in the nation by D2Baseball.com. They were also ranked #1 in the state of Virginia.
The University of Lynchburg Baseball Stadium
Lynchburg Old Dominion Baseball Stadium is a steel and concrete baseball park located on the campus of the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Virginia. Opened in 1969, the ballpark has a capacity of 1,500 spectators and previously served as home field to the Lynchburg Hillcats baseball team of the Appalachian League. The Hillcats were a member of the South Atlantic League from 2007 to 2018. In 2019, they will become a charter member of the New York–Penn League.
The stadium was originally built for use by the men’s basketball team, but it was used for baseball beginning in 1971. The Hillcats played their first game at the stadium on April 10 against Elizabethtown College. The Hillcats won that game 5-1.
After playing their first three seasons at the stadium, Lynchburg relocated to Dunn Field in 1980 due to increased attendance and improved facilities. However, football continued to be played at Dunn Field until 1997 while baseball returned to the stadium in 1998 with the arrival of the new Lynchburg Legends team. Originally playing in the Valley League, they were transferred to the South Atlantic League in 2007 and became a full-time member of that league in 2008.

The University of Lynchburg Baseball team has been around since 1923 and they are currently playing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I. The team is composed of 24 players who all have different backgrounds, but they all come together to play baseball.
The University of Lynchburg Baseball team is made up of students from all over the school. They come from all different majors and they all work hard to be able to play baseball at the highest level possible. The players on the team have a lot of skill and talent, and they use it to their advantage every game.
One of the biggest challenges that the University of Lynchburg Baseball team faces is getting people to come watch them play. They often have to play in games that are very low-key, and people don’t always know about them. However, over time they have built a large fan base, and people are now always interested in their games.
The University of Lynchburg Baseball team has a lot of ambition, and they want to win every single game. They know that it will take a lot of hard work and dedication, but they are willing to do anything necessary to get success.

The University of Lynchburg baseball team is back in action this season and they are looking to improve on their record from last season. The team is made up of experienced players and newcomers who are eager to show what they can do. The first game of the season is against Bryan College and will be played on Friday, March 3rd.
