Columbia University (New York)
Columbia University is a private Ivy League research university in Upper Manhattan, New York City, United States. Columbia is the oldest institution of higher learning in the state of New York, the fifth oldest in the United States, and one of the country’s nine Colonial Colleges; it was established by royal charter from George II of Great Britain.
Columbia awards undergraduate degrees from seven colleges: Columbia College (Liberal Arts), Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (Engineering), Journalism School (Journalism), School of General Studies (Arts & Sciences), Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (Graduate Education), School of International and Public Affairs (Public Policy Studies), Teachers College (Education). Middlebury College (Vermont)
Middlebury College is a private liberal arts college located in Middlebury, Vermont. Founded in 1800 by Congregationalist clergymen, the college was originally named “Franklin Academy” and was renamed to “Middlebury College” in 1823 when the town of Middlebury agreed to accept it as its sponsor. The first classes were held on July 3, 1802, with seven students and two instructors.

Vassar College is a private liberal arts college in the town of Poughkeepsie, New York, in the United States. Founded in 1861 by Matthew Vassar as a women’s college and later co-educational, it has been one of the most prestigious colleges in the country since its inception.
Vassar College currently has a student population of 2,926 and offers degrees through its five schools: Humanities; Natural Sciences; Social Sciences; and Economics & Management; Fine Arts & Design
Bryn Mawr College (Pennsylvania)
Bryn Mawr College is a private women’s liberal arts college located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1885 by Dr. Thomas Harrison as the first higher education institution for women in the United States.
Bryn Mawr College is one of the Seven Sisters Colleges, which are seven private educational institutions in the Northeastern United States that were formerly all women but now include both sexes and coeducational programs. These colleges are: Barnard College (founded 1871), Mount Holyoke College (1837), Smith College (1871), Vassar College (1861), Wellesley College (1875), Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University; Simmons College was also part of this consortium until it went non-sectarian and changed its name from “Simmons” to “Simmons University”.
University of Denver (Colorado)

Pomona College (California)
Pomona College is a private liberal arts college in Claremont, California, United States. It was founded in 1887 as a coeducational school. With more than 2,000 students enrolled annually, Pomona offers its students an intimate learning environment where they can connect with professors and other students on campus.
For merit-based scholarships at Pomona College that award up to $50,000 per year for four years of study (a total of $200k), applicants must be considered U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens who have completed their freshman year by the application deadline date.
While it’s not required for all applicants to submit standardized test scores such as the SAT or ACT for these scholarships, it does give you an advantage if you do have them because many factors contribute toward your chances of winning one of them
Colby College (Maine)
Colby College is a private liberal arts college located in Waterville, Maine. It was founded in 1813 and has a low student to faculty ratio of 8 to 1. Colby College has been recognized by Princeton Review as one of the best colleges for undergraduate teaching since 1996. The campus is over 665 acres with 120 buildings on its main campus and an additional campus in Madrid, Spain.
Colby College is also known for its academic excellence and research opportunities since it was awarded $235 million in grants from external sources during the 2013-2014 school year alone. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (North Carolina)
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) is a public research university located in the state capital of Raleigh, North Carolina. Founded in 1789 and nicknamed “The Old North State,” UNC offers more than 300 undergraduate majors across 15 schools and colleges. The school has an acceptance rate of 55.9 percent and an undergraduate enrollment of 20,811 students as of fall 2017.
UNC’s graduate programs are also recognized for their excellence; it was ranked No. 2 among all public universities by U.S News & World Report in its 2019 Best Graduate Schools report.[3] It’s also been recognized as one of the best universities overall by Forbes Magazine four years running.[4]

Carleton College is a private liberal arts college in Northfield, Minnesota, United States. Carleton was founded in 1866 by a small group of Baptist clergymen who wanted to establish an institution which would “equip its students for service to the state and church.” The school was named after William Carleton, a former British political leader. It has been ranked as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the country by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1996 (when they began ranking it).
In 2016-2017, Carleton had an acceptance rate of 15%, making it one of the most selective colleges in America.
Davidson College (North Carolina )
