This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Treasure Valley (Idaho) Chapter of Scholarship America.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Treasure Valley (Idaho) Chapter of Scholarship America. Since 1969, we have awarded over $5 million in scholarships to more than 2,700 Treasure Valley high school and college students. Each year, we award approximately $100,000 in scholarships to students from Canyon County, Idaho.

Eligibility:

  • All graduating seniors from a Canyon County high school
  • Scholarship winner must enroll as full-time student at any college or university for the upcoming academic year.

A committee comprised of members from the Idaho Community Foundation staff and representatives from our partner colleges reviews all applications received by Scholarship America and selects finalists for personal interviews which take place in late April/early May. As part of this process, recommendations from teachers and guidance counselors are given careful review. The scholarship recipient is selected on the basis of his or her financial need, scholastic record, and community service activities after the interviews are completed.
