The Treasure Scholarship is a unique program focused on preparing future leaders in the gemstone industry.
Treasure Scholarship recipients are engaged in learning that is interdisciplinary and collaborative, where they develop a broad understanding of the gemstone industry. The Treasure Scholarship is one of the first programs of its kind in the U.S., offering students comprehensive instruction and training in gemological evaluation, diamond grading, colored stone identification, and jewelry manufacturing skills. Treasure Scholarships are awarded to students who have completed introductory coursework in geology or engineering and have been accepted into the Gem State Engineering Program as incoming freshmen or as current Boise State University students. It’s an excellent opportunity for students interested in a career within the gemstone industry.
