Sign Up For Auto Pay

You can sign up for autopay to make your student loan payment automatically. To sign up, you will need to be logged in and have a valid email address on file with the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). If you are not sure whether or not you have a valid email address on file with NSLDS, call the National Student Loan Data System at 1-800-433-3243 (TDD: 202-693-0720).

Once your account has been set up to receive automatic payments, Citibank will send an email confirmation with information about setting up your account for auto pay. This email may take several days to reach you if we don’t already have it on file from another service such as a credit card application that was recently reviewed by the credit card issuer or other financial institution where Citi provides products and services such as checking accounts and lines of credit.   • On the “Payment Plan” tab, click the “Start Automatic Payment” button and then select a payment method. If you don’t already have a payment method set up in your account, we’ll walk you through creating one now.
  • Select the date of your first payment (or choose “Automatic Payments” if it’s an existing loan).
  • Choose how often (monthly) and on what date(s) each month that Citibank should withdraw money from your designated bank account or credit card (for example: every 1st day of every month).
