University of Texas at Arlington

If you’re looking for a school where you can get a good education without going into too much debt, then the University of Texas at Arlington is the school for you. University of Texas at El Paso

University of Texas San Antonio

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), founded in 1969, is a large public university located in San Antonio, Texas. It is the only major research institution in the city and has earned a reputation for excellence in teaching and research, as well as community engagement and outreach. The campus’s location on the western part of town makes it ideal for commuters, with affordable apartments close to the school making up much of the student housing options. Students seem to enjoy living here—the area is heavily populated by UTSA students and alumni, some even opening businesses as a result of their connections there.

The university offers over 200 undergraduate degree programs through its colleges of Architecture, Business Administration, Education & Human Development, Engineering, Honors College & Liberal Arts Division (HCLAD), Public Policy Academy (PPA) and Sciences & Mathematics. Its graduate programs include an MBA program at its business college; advanced degrees such as MSW/MEd/MAcc degrees; Master’s degrees; and doctoral programs such as EdD (Education); PhD (Physics); MSSW (Social Work); DAcNP/CNPM (Nurse Practitioner); DNP/DNPM (Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice). St. John’s College

St. John’s College is a small liberal arts college located in Annapolis, Maryland. With a total of 466 undergraduate students, the campus can feel like a tight-knit community. Its location on the Chesapeake Bay provides opportunities for boating, crabbing, and kayaking at any time of year. Students may join a variety of clubs such as sailing and the sailing team, birding club, or photography club—or they can get involved with large scale school events such as their annual fundraising event “Mardi Gras: A Carnival Celebration” or St. John’s on Broadway musical held annually composed of students from both graduate and undergraduate programs under one stage.

Lamar University

Lamar University is a public institution in Beaumont, Texas. As of the fall 2017 semester, Lamar had an enrollment of 15,327 students and offered undergraduate programs in over 100 majors. The school also housed an average class size of 20. Furthermore, Lamar’s historical campus contains a lake with a walking path and many green spaces.

Southwestern University

Southwestern University, founded in 1873, is a small liberal arts college known for its interdisciplinary programs and study abroad opportunities. Located just outside the city of Georgetown in central Texas, Southwestern provides an intimate setting for students who can choose from a varied selection of majors and minors. The school’s student body is approximately 1,600 strong.

Southwestern’s most popular majors are business administration (secured by more than 300 students), psychology (a favorite among over 100 graduates), biology (the choice of nearly 100 students), and history (taken by almost 40 graduates).

DePaul University

If you’ve ever visited the Big Apple, you’ve probably seen DePaul University’s campus—in fact, it’s hard to miss. The school’s Loop location makes it a prominent part of Chicago’s skyline, and its historic Water Tower is an iconic image in itself.

What may be less obvious is that this Catholic university was founded by the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentians) in 1898. Today all classes are taught by laymen and women, with only two percent of the teaching staff being made up of priests or nuns. DePaul University has gone through several major milestones since its founding, including merging with Loyola University Chicago in 1982 to form the modern day DePaul University we know today; expanding to online and professional programs; gaining accreditation for its business school; heading into athletics (including adding a Division I basketball team); renovating facilities; and establishing new academic centers.

The school also has a reputation for being one of the largest producers of Peace Corps volunteers in the country as well as boasting a high percentage of graduates who stay on to pursue their graduate degrees at DePaul. Hofstra University

Hofstra University is a public university in Hempstead, NY. It is known for its diverse student population, accomplished faculty, and distinguished core curriculum. The university offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs on a beautiful campus less than an hour from New York City.
