Fleming College was founded in 1967, making it the oldest college in Peterborough. It is one of five publicly funded colleges in Ontario and has campuses in Peterborough, Haliburton and Fenelon Falls. The Haliburton School of Art and Design (HSAD) is a not-for-profit, member-based institution. HSAD offers a two-year diploma program in Fine Arts, a two-year diploma program in Graphic Design and a one-year certificate program in Fine Arts.
