You can take tests to earn credit at many colleges. This can be a great way to knock out some of the required classes for your degree or certificate program on your way to graduation. You won’t have to pay out-of-pocket for your education and you’ll be able to get started immediately after passing the tests with an accredited school offering these courses.

University of Alabama

If you’re looking to earn college credit through a test, the University of Alabama offers six exams that will allow students to receive course credit. The majority of these tests can be taken online at [universitynamehere.com](https://www.universitynamehere.com/admissions/credit-by-examination).

The exams include: English Composition; Calculus; Spanish; Chemistry; Physics; Biology and Sociology/Economics/Psychology (a general elective). Students who take these courses should expect an average score between 70% – 80%.

California State University

California State University accepts credit by examination in a variety of subjects and at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels. Credit by examination is available at all CSU campuses.

Students who have taken examinations offered by the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) or Advanced Placement (AP) may be eligible to earn college credit based on their test scores. DePaul University

DePaul University is a private, coeducational university in Chicago. Emory University

Emory University is a private research university in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Georgia Southern University provides credit by examination for select exams. The university accepts the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) test, and it has a list of exams it does not accept.

Harvard College

Harvard College accepts credit by examination for a number of exams, including the SAT subject tests, AP exams, IB exams and CLEP. Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis

In addition to accepting specific exams, IUPUI will grant transfer credit for certain military training programs (e.g., ROTC).

Liberty University

New York Institute of Technology

New York Institute of Technology offers credit by examination for the following tests:

Ohio State University

The Ohio State University accepts credit by examination for the following:

• College Algebra and Trigonometry, College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus I, Calculus II and Integrated Mathematics.

To apply for credit by examination at Ohio State University, you must complete an application form which can be downloaded from their website or obtained from the department or school where you wish to take a course. You will then need to pay an application fee of $50 when submitting your completed application form. The application form requires that you provide photocopies of all high school transcripts (or official copies) along with any college transcripts, test results and other proof of prior learning experience such as work experience or military service records. Once this has been submitted it may take up to two weeks before approval is given so if you plan on doing any summer study make sure that this process has been completed before enrolling in any courses!

You can take tests to get credit at these colleges

Credit by examination is a method of earning college credits without taking a course. Most colleges accept one or more standardized tests that you can take to earn credit.

The benefits of taking this route include saving money and getting ahead on your degree, but there are some drawbacks as well. You may not earn as much money in the long run compared with someone who took a course, for example.
