Colleges That Do Not Require Letters Of Recommendation
Colleges That Do Not Require Letters Of Recommendation
Colleges are a large part of life, and many people will spend years living on campus. Colleges can be great places to meet new people, form lifelong relationships, and get an education. However, there are some things that you need to do when applying to colleges or going through the application process. One such thing is getting letters of recommendation from teachers or other people in your life who know how much you’ve grown over the years. However, it might surprise you to learn that not all colleges require letters of recommendation! Take a look at these schools below:
California Institute of Technology
Caltech does not require letters of recommendation. This is one of the only schools that makes this distinction, and it’s because they’re selective enough that they don’t need them. The school has very high standards when it comes to admission, with an average GPA and test scores in the top 10% nationally.
The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) was founded in 1891 as a research institution for science and engineering students. Its location in Los Angeles makes it an ideal place for aspiring biologists and chemists who want to be in LA but also want to attend a highly selective university with many benefits: small class sizes, access to professors who are experts in their field, close relationships between teachers and students due to intense attention from faculty members on any given day (or moment), etcetera…

This list includes some of the more important information they will consider in deciding whether or not they believe a candidate is qualified for admission based on their academic performance:
- Self-reported GPA and SAT/ACT score (if available). If you do not have official transcripts from all four years of high school or college, please use this section to enter what grades were earned during those years instead.
- Self-reported high school GPA, rank (if rank is available), and class size if it was less than 150 students during your senior year; these metrics will be compared with other applicants from similar backgrounds who did share this information with us so that we can make fair decisions about admittance into our programs.*
