Bob Jones University

Bob Jones University (BJU) is a fundamentalist private university in Greenville, South Carolina. The university was founded by evangelist Bob Jones, Sr. in 1927 as an interdenominational work with ties to the Southern Baptist Convention and Christian mission boards.

Bob Jones University has been at the center of many controversies over its history because of its ban on interracial dating and student orientation policies. These two policies have been rescinded since 1979 and 1993 respectively, but they continue to be points of debate at BJU in terms of their lasting impact on campus culture today.

Harding University is a private Christian university in Searcy, Arkansas. It is a member of the Southern Arkansas University System and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

College of the Ozarks

The College of the Ozarks (COZ) is a private, Christian liberal arts college in Point Lookout, Missouri. The school was founded in 1906 by John Andrew Rice as a trade school called Missouri Home School. In 1964, it became a college and adopted its current name.

COZ is affiliated with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), an organization of evangelical colleges that share common values such as religious freedom and biblical truth; COZ is also accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Bryan College

Bryan College is a Christian liberal arts college located in Dayton, Tennessee. It was founded by Dr. William Jennings Bryan, who later ran for President of the United States three times as the nominee of the Democratic Party.

Bryan College’s official stance on evolution is that it does not exist and that “the theory of evolution teaches that all life forms are developed from simple forms over millions of years.” The school also opposes any teaching about how old Earth or its solar system may be, citing Genesis 6:4 as evidence.

Liberty University

Liberty University was founded by Jerry Falwell Sr., who was an evangelical Christian minister, and president of Liberty University from 1971 until his death in 2007. As one of the largest private universities in Virginia, it has an undergraduate enrollment at over 15,000 students and a total enrollment of around 100,000 students (including graduate and professional programs).

Brigham Young University

Brigham Young University (BYU) is a private university owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Located in Provo, Utah, it is the largest religious university in the United States.

Pensacola Christian College

Pensacola Christian College is a private, non-denominational Christian liberal arts college located in Pensacola, Florida. The school was founded in 1977 and has a student body of about 1,000 students from around the world.

The college offers undergraduate degrees in Bible, business administration and education as well as master’s degrees in divinity, church ministries and psychology. It also offers a Ph.D program through its Graduate School of Biblical Studies & Ministry with concentrations available in pastoral counseling or biblical studies & ministry studies; however it does not offer an online graduate degree program at this time.

Cedarville University

Cedarville University is a private, Christian university in Cedarville, Ohio. It’s been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1918 and currently offers more than 70 undergraduate majors to its 3,836 students.
