Colleges That Have Cyber Security

There are many schools that offer a degree in cyber security. These include some of the most prestigious universities in the country, such as Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Washington. Some schools offer only one degree in cyber security while others offer several degrees focused around different aspects of this field.

Colleges That Have Cyber Security

University of California

The University of California (UC) is a system of public universities in the state of California. It is made up of ten campuses throughout the state, six undergraduate campuses, five medical schools and four professional schools. The UC system was first established in 1868 and has since grown to become one of the most prestigious public university systems in America.

In addition to their research and teaching missions, many campuses within the UC system offer cybersecurity degrees at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Here are some examples:

Carnegie Mellon University

The University of Pittsburgh, also known as Pitt, is a state-related research university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), which consists of leading research universities in the United States and Canada. As of 2017, Pitt is ranked as the 20th best public university in the nation by U.S. News & World Report[1] and tied for 52nd overall among all national universities.[2]

The University of Pittsburgh offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security & Assurance and a Master’s Degree in Information Security Management through its Heinz College graduate school program.

University of Washington

University of Washington is a public research university in Seattle, Washington, United States, located on an urban campus. The University of Washington is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world and offers more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate degree programs across five academic schools to nearly 50,000 students from all 50 states and more than 90 countries each year.

The University of Washington offers bachelor’s degrees in cyber security engineering. Students who pursue this degree will learn how to design secure computer systems. They will also study cryptography and digital signatures as well as software security analysis methods such as model checking or attack trees. Students can add specialization tracks including Information Assurance or Software Engineering & Computer Science concentration options within their studies at any time during their time at UW Bothell

Rochester Institute of Technology

Rochester Institute of Technology offers a Bachelor of Science in Information Security and Assurance. The program prepares students to work as information security analysts, auditors, or consultants with an understanding of both the theory behind cyber security and practical application.

Students will be able to:

  • Analyze threats, vulnerabilities and countermeasures from an organizational perspective
  • Plan for secure infrastructure design by integrating logical and physical systems with access control mechanisms such as authentication technologies including biometrics
  • Apply risk assessment tools to determine appropriate levels of controls based on data sensitivity, value and criticality

SanJose State University

San Jose State University is a public research university located in San Jose, California, in Silicon Valley. As of Fall 2016, the university enrolls 30,842 students across its 23 campuses and seven off-campus locations.

San Jose State’s main campus is located on 154 acres in the University District of San Jose, California, about 1.5 miles from Downtown San Jose. The institution was founded as the Minns Evening Normal School in 1857 by Mary Folsom as a normal school for teacher training purposes; it became California State Normal School (the name was later shortened to “California State College”) in 1871; finally becoming San José State College with abituary by Gov. Goodwin Knight in 1935 and then renamed San José State University in 1957.

Auburn University

Auburn University is a public university located in Auburn, Alabama. It was founded in 1856 and is currently ranked as one of the top 20 universities in the country by U.S. News & World Report. The school offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs through its nine colleges: Agriculture; Architecture, Arts and Humanities; Business Administration; Engineering; Education; Liberal Arts (including Interdisciplinary Studies); Nursing Science; Social Sciences, Health and Human Performance Sciences; Veterinary Medicine School.

The Computer Science department at Auburn University’s College of Engineering has been offering courses on cyber security since 2008. Students have access to some very advanced tools including CATS (Computer Assisted Testing System) that allows them to take tests for other departments remotely using a webcam instead of having to travel back home every time they need an update on their GPA!

There are many different colleges that all offer cyber security with slight differences in the programs.

You’ll find that there are many different colleges that all offer cyber security with slight differences in the programs.

For example, some schools will only offer a certificate program while others may have a degree or major in cyber security. Some schools may have one certificate and another school has three certificates. You can also choose to obtain your degree online or on campus.
