Georgia State University

Georgia State University is a public research university in downtown Atlanta. It was established in 1913 as the Georgia School of Technology and has been in operation since then. Georgia State University offers several degree programs for those suffering from learning disabilities through its College of Arts and Sciences, College of Law, Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health. Landmark College is a liberal arts college for students with learning disabilities. Students at Landmark College can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in over 50 different fields of study, including Anthropology, Art History, Biology, Business Management and Finance, Chemistry, Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), Criminal Justice Studies (CJS), Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE), Economics and Political Economy (EPE), English Literature/Creative Writing/Film Studies/Media Studies/Photography Studies (ELCS), Environmental Science – Sustainability Studies or Environmental Policy Analysis; Health Care Administration or Nursing; History; Mathematics with Applied Emphasis; Music Performance – Voice Performance or Instrumental Performance – Piano Performance; Philosophy; Physics – Astronomy – Astrophysics Option only available at the Milton Campus; Politics & Government with either an International Relations & Comparative Politics emphasis or Public Policy: Social Welfare emphasis; Psychology with either Child Clinical Psychology emphasis on both campuses OR School Psychology on the Milton campus only.

They also have a Disability Resource Center, which provides resources and referrals to services on campus and in the Tucson community. The Disability Student Services Office works with students who have special needs so that they can be successful in their academic careers at the University of Arizona.

Converse College

A small liberal arts college, Converse College provides a supportive environment for students with learning disabilities. The Learning Support Program offers tutoring and workshops on study skills, such as note-taking and time management. It also offers an academic coach who helps students learn self-advocacy skills so they can better advocate for themselves when they need accommodations in the future. Students can make use of the Learning Center, which has computers available for use by all students (not just those with learning disabilities) as well as study spaces.

California State University San Marcos

CSUSM is a public university in San Marcos, California. It is a comprehensive university with four colleges offering 72 majors and 59 minors. They also have 14 master’s degree programs and a doctorate program in education.

CSUSM is a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). To be considered an HSI, an institution must admit at least 25% of its students from underrepresented racial minorities or serve a minimum of 25% of the total undergraduate population as underrepresented racial minorities (non-white).
