University of Arizona
The University of Arizona, often referred to as simply Arizona or UA, is a public research university located in Tucson, Arizona. Founded in 1885 (the first university in the territory), it is the oldest and largest campus of the University of Arizona System. The university is a member of the Great Western Athletic Conference and has won 25 NCAA championships including three for women’s gymnastics; two for softball; one each for men’s and women’s cross country; one each for men’s golf and baseball; three for swimming & diving; six for indoor track & field (including six consecutive titles from 2000-2005); ten on outdoor track & field (including four straight from 2007-2010). It also won national titles in men’s basketball (two) and football (three), as well as a “national championship” by its marching band at halftime during Super Bowl XXX between the St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans.[4]
University of Michigan
The University of Michigan is a public research university in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The University of Michigan was founded in 1817 in Detroit as the Catholepistemiad, or University of Michigania, by the governor and judges of Michigan Territory. In 1821 the legislature passed an act to establish a state university at Ann Arbor but did not specify where it should be located.
In 1837 it was moved back to Detroit and became what is now known as Wayne State University.[28]
Stanford University
Stanford University is a private university located in Palo Alto, California. The school was founded in 1891 and is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Stanford University is considered one of only three schools to have produced graduates that have won Nobel Prizes for twenty-five consecutive years since 1933.
In addition to its academic prestige, Stanford University is also known for its athletics programs; it offers athletic scholarships that allow students to compete at both the collegiate level as well as on a professional scale.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) awards athletic scholarships to students who have demonstrated a specific level of athletic ability. These are awarded for the following sports: basketball, football, baseball, soccer, swimming and diving, track and field, golf and tennis. The amount of the scholarship varies based on your position on the team. If you are an athlete that does not play one of the above sports but is still interested in getting a scholarship from UNC then you can participate in other sponsored activities such as cheerleading or dance team.
If you want to receive an athletic scholarship from UNC then you will need to contact their office directly because they do not automatically offer them all students who apply for admission into their school
Duke University
Duke University is a private research university located in Durham, North Carolina, United States. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment with $40 million – one of the largest philanthropic foundations ever established – as part of his estate plan.
Duke’s campus spans 8,000 acres on three contiguous campuses in Durham as well as a marine lab in Beaufort. The main campus—designed largely by architect Julian Abele—incorporates Gothic architecture with the 210-foot (64 m) tall West Campus tower designed by Julian Abele. The oldest building on campus is East Campus dormitory; it has been expanded several times for additional housing needs and now houses most first year students on campus at any given time during orientation week before moving into regular housing or returning home for summer break depending on their class schedule.
University of Texas at Austin

UT athletics has been a top program in the state since at least the 1870s, when it was officially organized as a department within what was then called The University of Texas. Since then, it’s become one of America’s most competitive sports programs.
The university fields more than 100 different teams across several sports and has produced dozens of professional athletes over its history. Some notable alumni include Roger Staubach (formerly quarterback for America’s Team), Earl Campbell (a Heisman Trophy winner), Chris Simms (quarterback for Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Nolan Ryan (all-time strikeout leader).
Ohio State University
While Ohio State has a reputation for being one of the best colleges in the country, it’s also known for its athletics. The school has been home to several high-profile teams and athletes over the years. Some of these include football players Jim Brown and Archie Griffin, basketball player Jerry Lucas and baseball player Bob Feller.
Ohio State offers athletic scholarships through their Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. These scholarships are awarded based on need or merit, but they can only be used towards tuition expenses or fees (they cannot be used towards housing). Athletes are also required to maintain a minimum GPA while attending OSU; however, this varies depending on what sport they participate in as well as their position within that sport
Texas A&M University
Texas A&M University is a public research university in College Station, Texas. It is the flagship institution of the Texas A&M University System and has one of the largest and most prestigious athletic programs in the country.
Texas A&M’s football program has a long history of success, winning three national championships and 19 conference titles. The school also boasts a strong baseball team with 10 different College World Series appearances; its basketball team has won four NCAA tournament games since 2014; and its women’s gymnastics team finished second at nationals this year for the first time ever.
The university offers more than 200 athletic scholarships across 20 sports—including men’s basketball, baseball, soccer and swimming—to help students pursue their passions while earning their degrees from one of America’s top universities.
The University of Texas at Arlington
The University of Texas at Arlington is a public university offering more than 300 programs across nine colleges, including a doctoral program. It has more than 35,000 students and offers athletic scholarships in several sports.
UTA is located in Arlington, Texas, a city of just over 360,000 residents that borders Dallas and Fort Worth and is home to the Dallas Cowboys NFL team’s headquarters. The university got its start as an agricultural school in 1895 but now boasts a wide range of academic offerings for undergraduates and graduate students alike.

Louisiana State University (LSU) ‘ Baton Rouge Campus
LSU is a public research university that offers over 100 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. LSU is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has a total enrollment of over 30,000 students. The school also participates in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Students can choose from many different majors at this institution including:

The University of Tennessee – Knoxville Campus
- The University of Tennessee – Knoxville Campus: You may know this school by its mascot, the Volunteers, or its colors — orange and white. These are two out of three symbols that represent the school and are often seen on campus as well.
- Founded in 1794 as Blount College (it later changed names to East Tennessee State University), it was not until 1879 that it became a land-grant university. From there, it became one of the first universities in the country to offer a bachelor’s degree program in engineering. As you can imagine, this led to many technological advancements during its history — including one way to make sure your beer will stay cold while you’re tailgating!

The University of Iowa – Iowa City Campus
The University of Iowa is a top-rated academic institution, and it’s also one of the best for sports. The university offers athletic scholarships to students who want to play sports at the school. Students can receive up to $13,000 per year from the school when they play football or basketball, and they can receive other awards based on their performance in their sport. The university has varsity teams in numerous sports, including baseball/softball; basketball; cross country/track & field; fencing; golf (men’s & women’s); gymnastics (women’s); soccer (men’s & women’s); swimming & diving (women’s); tennis (men’s & women’s) track & field – men’s indoor).
