1 Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU)

Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Counselling. The university has a counselling department that organizes its own training programmes for counsellors and psychotherapists. It also runs the Zimbabwe Association for Counselling and Therapy, which offers the Zimbabwe Diploma in Counselling.

The University’s counselling unit is headed by Professor Janette Rutanhwa who has been appointed as Head of Department with an emphasis on academic development to support quality teaching, research and community service delivery.

2 Harare Polytechnic

Harare Polytechnic is a public tertiary institution in Zimbabwe. It is one of the largest polytechnic institutions in the country, offering courses that lead to certificates, diplomas and degrees. The college also has campuses in Mutare, Zimbabwe’s third largest city after Harare and Bulawayo with a population of approximately 330 000 people.
