Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University offers a Bachelor of Science in Event Management. Its sports program is also strong, with men’s and women’s basketball, football, baseball/softball, volleyball and men’s soccer teams all ranked among NCAA Division I leaders.

Florida State University

The Florida State University Department of Hospitality and Resort Management offers a Bachelor of Science in Event Management, a Master of Science in Event Management, a Master of Arts in Event Management and a Doctor of Philosophy in Event Management. The studies culminate with a final thesis that can be presented orally or visually.

University of Connecticut

The event management program at the University of Connecticut offers an undergraduate degree, a professional certificate and a master’s degree. The University of Alabama

Kent State University

Kent State University is a public university in Kent, Ohio, United States. Established in 1910 as the Kent State Normal School, it is one of the largest universities in Ohio with over 28,000 on-campus students and over 23,000 online participants worldwide.

Kent State University was established in 1910 as the Kent State Normal School, a training school for teachers. It took its present name on May 14, 1926. It did not become an independent college until 1941 when it separated from Tuscarawas County (which had been created from part of Cuyahoga County). The first graduate program began in 1951 and was called “The Cooperative Program”, or “Coop” for short.[3] This program allowed someone to attend classes at both KSU and another institution simultaneously; this also helped prevent overcrowding at KSU during these times.[4] In 1970 the university became fully coeducational.[5]

Ohio University–Athens

The Event Management and Planning program at Ohio University–Athens is offered through the College of Business and offers a variety of concentrations for students to specialize in. The program is open to students in all three colleges, so you can study event management even if you’re not studying business.

Students must complete 36 credit hours to earn this degree, including:

• 6 hours of required core courses
• 12 hours of electives chosen from a list given on the department website

Washington State University

Washington State University offers a Bachelor of Science in Event Management which is accredited by the International Association of Congress Centres. This program is offered at the Pullman campus and can be completed on weekends.

Western Kentucky University
