There are a handful of college campuses with varsity esports programs, but the majority don’t offer any form of financial aid for video games. But if you’re looking for a way to pay for school and still play your favorite game, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t apply for a scholarship in Fortnite or any other game that suits your fancy. You could even team up with friends or classmates to enter competitions as a group!
We’re seeing more colleges embrace Fortnite as a legitimate esport and offering scholarships to players. The game has seen massive growth in popularity over the last year and it isn’t going anywhere, so it makes sense that schools would want to capitalize on this opportunity. It’s clear that the game has a lot of potential for esports competitors, especially those who are looking for scholarships or other financial aid to help pay for their education.
