Princeton University is a private Ivy League research university located in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. It was established in 1746 as the College of New Jersey and has been popularly known as Princeton since 1896.

Princeton’s campus is spread across 450 acres on the edge of both Princeton Borough and Princeton Township in Mercer County, making it one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. The main campus encompasses roughly 1 square mile (2 km²), including most of Princeton’s academic buildings and residential colleges.
