Employees may be eligible for up to 100% reimbursement on their tuition costs if they’re pursuing their first undergraduate degree; or up to 60% reimbursement if they’re pursuing an additional undergraduate degree.

Hampshire College—Amherst, Massachusetts

Hampshire College is a private, non-profit liberal arts college in Amherst, Massachusetts. Hampshire College offers a tuition reimbursement program for employees who are eligible by meeting the following criteria:

  • Working at the college for one year or more.
  • Attending classes full time (12 credits).
  • Enrolling in a degree program that leads to an undergraduate degree at Hampshire or other regionally accredited university within four years of graduation from Hampshire.

Marylhurst University—Portland, Oregon

Marylhurst University is a private, not-for-profit university located in Marylhurst, Oregon. The school was founded in 1891 as a Catholic school for women. As of the fall of 2017, it has an enrollment of 1,737 students and offers degrees in more than 50 undergraduate majors and graduate programs in business administration, education and nursing.

Lamar Community College—Lamar, Colorado

Lamar Community College is a public institution that offers free tuition to employees. In order for employees to qualify for free tuition, they must work at least 30 hours per week and have been employed by their employer for at least one year. The cost of tuition may then be reimbursed up to $1,000 per semester (tuition reimbursement is limited to four semesters). Employees who receive this benefit must be enrolled in a degree program at Lamar Community College, but do not need to complete it before receiving the benefit.

Weber State University—Ogden, Utah

Weber State University offers tuition reimbursement to employees who enroll in a graduate or undergraduate program. Employees may use the reimbursement for distance learning programs and on-campus programs. The university also offers tuition reimbursement for certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degrees.

Employees can use this benefit to pursue degrees in the following majors: accounting; business administration; computer science; criminal justice; economics; education; finance; information technology management (ITM); journalism and mass communication (JMC); liberal arts general studies (LAGS); marketing and international business (MIB); social work.

Ohio Northern University—Ada, Ohio

Ohio Northern University offers tuition reimbursement for employees and their spouses. The amount of tuition that can be reimbursed is up to $5,250 per year, with a maximum of $13,500 per family. Employees must be employed at the university for at least 6 months prior to enrollment in order to qualify for the benefit. They must also be enrolled full time in a degree program and maintain satisfactory academic progress.

Tuition Reimbursement up to $1,000 per year: South Texas College offers tuition reimbursement up to $1,000 per year for full-time employees who work for the college for at least 12 months and maintain a 2.0 GPA. The program applies only to degree programs that are available at the main campus, including nursing and education programs. In order to qualify for this benefit you must be a US citizen or permanent resident with a valid social security card; be enrolled in a degree program; be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours); and maintain satisfactory academic progress according to your program’s criteria (this is typically 2 years). If eligible, you will receive reimbursement upon completion of each semester after submission of receipts from your college bookstore and tuition payment history records within 60 days after each semester ends.

Brandman University is a private, nonprofit university that was founded in 1976. The university offers a variety of degree programs in the areas of business, technology, and education. Brandman University is a member of the Council of Independent Colleges.

Misericordia University—Dallas, Pennsylvania

Misericordia University is a private university located in Dallas, Pennsylvania. The tuition reimbursement program for employees and their dependents is one of the most generous we’ve seen: 100% of tuition and fees paid during the first year of enrollment are reimbursed, up to $125,000! The second year through fifth years’ reimbursements are 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10% respectively—in other words it’s a sliding scale based on how long you’ve been working there.

The school also offers courses online so that students can get ahead on their degree without having to commute from the suburbs into the city every day or work around class schedules and exams. This gives busy professionals an opportunity to earn their degrees at their own pace while still being able to support themselves financially through work if necessary.
