Students can earn either a certificate or an associate degree, and the program is offered in California. The ECC Perfusion Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or CAHEP.
To prepare you for your future career, the ECC Perfusion Technology program covers both clinical and classroom instruction. Both parts of this coursework are hands-on experiences where you’ll learn how to work with patients on life support systems, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and invasive procedures like catheterization. - Armstrong State University in Georgia offers a Certificate in Perfusion Technology. This program is open to students who have completed an associate’s degree or at least 60 semester hours of college-level coursework. The curriculum includes courses on anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology; clinical education; and advanced management training.
- University of Minnesota Duluth offers both an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Perfusion Technology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Sciences with a Concentration in Perfusion Technology to students who are already certified as per diem perfusionists by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).
