Women’s lacrosse is the fastest growing college sport in the country, and several schools offer NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse teams. These programs are a great way for female athletes to get involved with college sports while also getting an education.

1 Adelphi University
Adelphi University is a private co-educational university located in Garden City, New York. It was founded by the Sisters of St. Dominic, who named it for the Greek word for brother. Boston University
Boston University is a private institution located in Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1839 and has a Division I athletic program. The university’s sports teams are called the Terriers and compete at the NCAA Division I level. The women’s lacrosse team plays its home games on BU’s campus at Nickerson Field.
Boston University has won one national championship: In 2015, it defeated Maryland in overtime to win the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship (4-3).
Central Michigan University
Central Michigan University is a public research university located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. CMU is the second-largest campus in Michigan, with an enrollment of more than 23,000 students (17% of whom are graduate students). The university was founded in 1818 as the Dalhousie College by Scottish settlers who wanted to create a school based on their own values of education. Dalhousie has been recognized as one of Canada’s top universities for its excellence in nursing programs and medical research.
East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania
East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania is a NCAA Division II school that sits in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The school has both a men’s and women’s lacrosse team, as well as a women’s soccer team.
This university offers an associate degree in athletic training, which will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to work at an amateur or professional level. You’ll learn about training strategies, injury prevention procedures and rehabilitation treatments for athletes who participate in various sports including football, baseball and volleyball.

Grand Valley State University is a public liberal arts university located in the suburbs of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Grand Valley has an NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse team that competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Hofstra University
Hofstra University is a private, non-sectarian, co-educational university located in Hempstead, New York. It was founded in 1935 by Hofstra Memorial Foundation (a fund established by the estate of William Ziegler), and it officially became The Hofstra University in 1939. The university is named after Edward VIII of Great Britain and his wife Wallis Simpson-Gladstone; they were known as “The Duke” and “The Duchess” during their time at the university.
Hofstra is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Their athletic teams are nicknamed “the Pride”, but their mascot has not been determined yet because there is no consensus among students as to which animal best represents them as a team.
Johns Hopkins University
Johns Hopkins University offers a total of 30 sports, six of which are men’s and the remaining 24 are women’s. Some of their women’s teams include lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, fencing and gymnastics.
The school has an enrollment of over 21,000 students with just under 2,000 faculty members on staff to teach them. The university was founded in 1876 and is a private research university located in Baltimore City Maryland with campuses spread throughout Maryland at Washington DC as well as BWI Airport Terminal A – BWI Marshall Airport (Washington) MD).
The institution has been awarded five stars by U.S News & World Report for academic excellence and is highly ranked for its engineering programs (#2). It also maintains a very competitive admissions process where only about 16% of applicants will be admitted into the freshman class each year so you need to make sure that you are prepared before applying!
Lee University
Lee University is a private, Christian university located in Cleveland, Tennessee. The school offers a number of sports teams, including women’s lacrosse. Lee University competes as part of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) and is a NCAA Division II school.
Students at this university can choose from more than 80 undergraduate degree programs or go for one of their many graduate degrees offered through the School of Business Administration or School of Engineering Technology & Management.
Le Moyne College

It was founded in 1911 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and named after Saint Ignatius Loyola, who was also the founder of the Jesuit order. Loyola Marymount University offers women’s lacrosse as a club sport for both beginners and advanced players through its Women’s Lacrosse Club Team. This program provides opportunities for high school athletes as well as college students looking to continue their passion for lacrosse at LMU through competitive play on LMU’s fields during fall season when other schools are competing at NCAA nationals (involving travel).
Molloy College

Mount Olive College (NC)
Mount Olive College is a NCAA Division II school founded in 1899 and located in Mount Olive, North Carolina. The enrollment at the college is 1,500 students.
