CORRUPT by Penelope Douglas

If you enjoy a book with a strong, intelligent protagonist who is not afraid to speak her mind, then this book is for you. The author writes engagingly and I found myself wanting to keep reading because the story was so well written.

I really enjoyed reading this book because the characters are so realistic, I felt like I knew them personally by the time I finished reading. It was also interesting that they aren’t just stereotypical bad girls who’ve had enough of their boyfriends’ crap. They have some positive characteristics too, which makes them much more relatable than other characters in similar books would be (like if they were just blindly following someone else’s orders without ever questioning anything).

The author has done an excellent job putting together an entertaining story that will leave readers eager for more! This was my first experience with Penelope Douglas and I’m so glad she has been recommended by multiple people through social media because now it’s my turn to recommend her books too!

Every book is given a unique identification number upon publication, and the most common type is called an ISBN.

The acronym stands for International Standard Book Number, and it appears on each edition of a published book. The purpose of an ISBN is to make it easier to identify a specific edition of a work by its publisher and date of release, so you can use this information when purchasing or looking up a book.

There are two types of ISBNs: 10 digits long and 13 digits long (sometimes referred to as EAN-13). The old type will probably be phased out eventually, though you may still see it on some books that have been in print for a while. You’ll notice that the first three digits are always either 978 or 979; these designate the language region where the title was produced.

Each number after that has meaning: for example, “978 0 7481 4116” translates to 9780–the English language region; 7481–the Grosvenor House Publishing Group; 4116–the individual book ID number within that publishing group’s catalog (in this case belonging to Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel).
