Leiths School of Food and Wine
The Leiths School of Food and Wine is located in the London neighborhood of Marylebone, about a five-minute walk from the Baker Street Underground station. Its full-time courses are six months long and cost £13,500, and its intensive courses run for five days a week over two months. The school explains that while many students manage to find part-time work (usually around 10 hours a week) during their studies, “it can be difficult to combine a job with the demands of our course.” The Leiths School of Food and Wine was founded by Caroline Waldegrave in 1975 after she took a break from teaching French at schools like Eton College. “I wanted an adult environment where people wanted to learn things as much as I wanted to teach them,” she said in an interview with The Guardian.
