The fees for the various diploma programmes available at MUST are standard and are set by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
Fees structure for Diploma in Nursing:
The institution charges UGX 6,000,000 as tuition per annum. This tuition is exclusive of other expenses like accommodation, meals, books and stationery and transport. The total costs amount to UGX 10,500,000 per annum.
Fees payment options:
The institution offers several modes of fee payments including payment through mobile money services such as Airtel Money or MTN Mobile Money and online payment platforms such as Visa or Mastercard through the E-Payment portal on its website. Students can also make deposits into the institution’s bank accounts including; Centenary Bank Account Number: 1701467965; Stanbic Bank Account No.: 9030005811756 and Orient Bank Account No.: 1200002275127900 Mbarara Branch respectively. Fees can also be paid directly to the Cash Office at the Bursar’s Office situated in Block A along Old Kampala Road.
Scholarships:
All students who have attained a minimum aggregate of 14 points or better in their Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations with minimum entry points to diploma programmes stand a chance of obtaining a scholarship from MUST. All eligible students will be notified by mail when admissions are open each year through their school heads or Directors’ offices where they studied from before applying for admission to MUST. Alternatively students may apply online using the specific scholarship form available on the university website during admission period each year. After this process candidates will undertake an interview with members of staff from relevant departments at least two weeks after submission of applications deadline date which is usually released on official notice boards around campus as well as on print media outlets and social media pages such as Facebook and Twitter among others
