A financial analyst with a master’s degree makes an average of $92,000 per year. This is a significant increase over the $56,000 made by those with only a bachelor’s degree, who make up just over three-quarters of all financial analysts.
However, this figure doesn’t tell the whole story. The median salary for financial analysts with a master’s degree was $102,000 in 2010 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). That means that half of all financial analysts with master’s degrees were making more than $102,000 and half were making less.
On average, financial analysts with advanced degrees earn more than their counterparts without them but it isn’t always easy to find a job as a financial analyst if you don’t have an advanced degree because most employers require one for employment in this field
