Friends University Of Central Kansas
Friends University is located in Wichita, Kansas. It’s a small liberal arts institution with a focus on faith and community. The University was founded in 1855 by Quakers who wanted to establish an all-girls school. Today it offers both undergraduate and graduate programs while also providing access to online classes. The school has a very low student-to-faculty ratio so that students can get individualized attention from their professors. Even though there are only about 1,000 students enrolled at Friends U., the campus still maintains its historic buildings as well as new ones that were built when enrollment began increasing over the last decade (2008).

The University also has many programs for the community to participate in such as annual festivals and sports activities.
Students at the university are encouraged to explore diversity and promote relationships with people from other cultures. The Friends University community is diverse, which allows students to learn about many different cultures.
The university also encourages students to honor heritage by celebrating their own backgrounds as well as those of others in order to share and learn about each others’ cultures. There are several events throughout the year that celebrate various cultural heritages including:
- Festival of Trees – A holiday event where students decorate trees with ornaments representing their own background or culture
- Festival of Lights – This event celebrates Hanukkah while also promoting campus unity through various activities such as an ice skating rink and musical performances by student groups
Finally, the university engages its community by providing opportunities for all members of society (regardless if they attend FU) participate in activities such as sports teams, plays/concerts/dances/other performances etc…

This course will help guide students on how they can make decisions about their future education as well as provide support throughout each stage of life from elementary school through adulthood.
