Austria’s Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research offers the Ernst Mach scholarships for prospective students from Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. The aim is to broaden the knowledge of Austria through cooperation with its neighbouring countries in the field of higher education. To be eligible for these scholarships you must:
- be a citizen of one of the following countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia or Poland
- have completed your previous studies no longer than 6 years ago (for Master’s applicants) or 12 years ago (for PhD applicants) at the time you submit your application

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is Germany’s national funding organization and the world’s largest funding organization for the international exchange of students and researchers.
Some of their scholarships are open to students, graduates and postdocs from all disciplines, while others are focused on specific fields of study or countries. Funding can be provided for a whole range of activities including study, research, language courses and internships. The duration of DAAD’s scholarships ranges from three months to three years with most being provided for one year at either undergraduate or master’s level. These scholarships are a great way to study in Germany. They are open to both international and national students, as well as researchers and faculty members. For the Master’s degrees, applicants must not be older than 25 years of age on August 1st, 2019. Those applying for the doctoral programs may not exceed 35 years of age on August 1st, 2019.
These scholarships are funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The selection committee will select up to 30 candidates from Pakistan and up to 45 from Bangladesh for this scholarship program. The deadline is December 3rd, 2020 at 6:59PM EST for Pakistan-based candidates and December 10th, 2020 at 6:59PM EST for Bangladesh based candidates.
