You are eligible to apply for this scholarship if you are an excellent non-EU/EEA student coming to study at the University of Groningen.

Amount

You will receive a one-off amount of € 5,000.00. The scholarship is not renewable after the first year. However, you will be considered for a tuition fee waiver in your second and subsequent years by obtaining good results during your first year of study (at least 60 EC per academic year). The amount is not paid out in cash, but pays off part of the tuition fee due. This means that this amount will not be paid into your bank account and cannot be used as a living allowance or any other extra expenses during your time in Groningen.

How to apply?

Your application must include:

  • a cover letter explaining why you would like to study at the University of Groningen and why you think you deserve this scholarship;
  • a curriculum vitae highlighting all relevant experiences and information about yourself;
  • an official document listing all secondary school grades obtained including explanations listing the course content;
