To verify your license and application status on the Georgia Board of Nursing website, you must first create a username and password. Log in to the GBOF website at www.nursingboard.org/georgia/.

Click on “Verify License” under “Search for Licensed Nurses”. You may then enter either your first or last name in the fields provided. Once you have entered this information, click on “Submit” to perform an online search against our database of licensed nurses with your name (or partial name).

If you find that this information is incorrect or incomplete, click on the “Update” button in order to make any necessary changes to it before printing out your results.

You will be presented with a list of results. The licensee’s name and status will be displayed at the top of each record. The licensee’s license number will also be listed on this screen for easy reference. Click “Show Details” to view additional information about that person, including their address and phone number if it is available in our database (see image below).

The sixth step is to click on “More” if you wish to view additional details about this person’s license such as:

• his address/location(s) of practice
• his education background and other qualifications (e.g., certifications)
• whether he has ever committed any disciplinary actions against him by the Georgia Board
