COMPUTER SCIENCE
The Master of Science, Master of Arts and the Master of Applied Science are all designed for students who want to build on their undergraduate degrees by specializing in a particular area. The M. Sc., M. A., and M.A.(Applied) programs are interdisciplinary, with students taking courses from across the Faculties involved in the program (i.e., teaching about computer science within an anthropology or linguistics course). The degree is also available as a joint program with other University of Toronto graduate schools: law (JD/MSc), education (MEd/MSc), public health (MPH/MSc), occupational therapy (OTD/MSC) and public policy (MPP/MSC).
The master’s in engineering is offered by either Electrical & Computer Engineering or Mechanical & Industrial Engineering; both offer concentrations in software engineering as well as general engineering applications like signal processing or power systems design. This can be taken either full time over one year or part time over two years while working full-time; there is no thesis requirement for this program but you are expected to complete at least 9 credits per semester

ENGINEERING SCIENCE
Course requirements:
Graduate Diploma in Engineering Science (GDES) is a two year program that requires successful completion of up to four courses per term.
Master of Applied Science (MASc) requires successful completion of up to six courses per term and is a two year program.
