cornell university

The GRE is not mandatory in the United States. Universities are free to make their own requirements. Cornell University, for example, does not require applicants to take the GRE as part of their application process. The following is a quote from Cornell’s website:

“No standardized test scores are required for admission, nor do they play any role in the decision process.”

university of california san diego

The GRE is not mandatory for applications to UCSD. UCSD recognizes that the GRE test is not a perfect assessment tool and can be quite costly. Therefore, they understand that it may not be a feasible option for every applicant. Although they accept GRE scores, they are also happy to consider applications from individuals who do not submit their scores with their application.

There are rare cases when an applicant will qualify for a GRE waiver by having an extremely high GPA, significant research experience or other factors that demonstrate their readiness for graduate studies at UCSD. In the most extreme of cases, the university may waive the requirement that you have already earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, but only if you have significant undergraduate research experience and/or laboratory skills.

university of pennsylvania

  • GRE Required by University of Pennsylvania Graduate Schools?

That depends on what program you’re applying to. Every university has different requirements, and every degree program within every university has different requirements. It depends also on whether or not you’re a domestic (US) or international student. If you’re domestic, the country in which your bachelor’s degree was obtained may impact admissions decisions as well. There are a few things that don’t matter: The person who is trying to enroll, the major that is being studied, the subject for which graduate school is desired and the general location of the school all have no effect on whether or not a GRE score is needed for admission.

No, it is not.

no it is not

No, not all universities require GRE scores. However, some do.

There are plenty of schools that don’t require GRE score. But they want to see that you can succeed in graduate level courses and this is where the GPA comes into play. As long as your GPA is high enough, many schools won’t even look at your GRE scores. This is true for a lot of smaller regional universities that may have more trouble attracting high-quality students than some of the bigger universities do. So, if you have good grades but bad GRE scores then you should consider applying to one of these schools since you will likely get in without any problem (contrary to what others might tell you).

However, there are also some pretty big schools out there which don’t require GRE score either – like UC Berkeley and Stanford University! So remember when someone tells you “GRE score is mandatory!” It just means if YOU want to go there then yes it’s mandatory by them but not everywhere else around the world because we live in an interdisciplinary world where people with different backgrounds can achieve success equally well or better than those who were just lucky enough not having a bad day while taking their standardized tests back in high school days before they knew how much it mattered down the road later on years later so instead what they should say now looking back on it all hindsight bias afterthought..
