Overview of Lafayette College

Lafayette College is a private liberal arts college founded in 1826 by James Madison Porter. With 2,611 students enrolled, Lafayette is the fourth-smallest of the 28 colleges that make up the Council of Independent Colleges. The campus is located in Easton, Pennsylvania, about 70 mi (110 km) west of New York City.

The main campus of Lafayette College sits on a 180-acre site with Georgian buildings centered around a tree-lined mall and open green spaces. The 14 main buildings are connected by an underground tunnel system as well as an above ground network of sidewalks and bricked paths.
