letter of motivation for masters

Dear Ms. Smith,

Dear John,

A personal introduction or statement is an important document for masters program applicants. The introduction is a chance for the applicant to showcase his/her skills, academic achievements and future goals. As such, it serves as the most critical component of the application process. In this article, we’ll discuss what makes a good introduction and provide you with some tips on how to make yours stand out from the crowd.

The first step in writing your personal introduction is to identify what type of introduction you want to write. This will help you decide which section of your personal statement will be most appropriate for each segment of your letter:

  • A brief overview – This can either be done at the beginning of your letter or at the end. It should include information about yourself (your name, age and where you work), a brief description of what you enjoy doing and why you want to apply to this master’s degree program.

The body of your letter should be carefully crafted to interest the reader and keep them reading. The following information is the absolute minimum that should be included in a covering / motivation letter:

  • A brief introduction of yourself (where you are now, what you want to study and why);
  • An outline of your experience so far and why it will make you suitable for this course;
  • The reasons why you have chosen to apply to this particular university or business school;
  • How the course fits in with your future plans and ambitions.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you regarding my application. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email] or [phone number].

Best Wishes,

letter of motivation for masters

Dear Prospective Master,

Last month I passed my computer science bachelor’s degree exams with flying colors and have now been accepted into the master’s program at Northwestern University. As you may know, this is a very competitive program. The academic rigor is tough, as are some of the other requirements—like being able to attend class regularly throughout the year. Still, I am excited to be part of something that has so much promise for shaping the careers of many young programmers.

Moreover, this program involves a lot of practical experience in a particular area. I am interested in making use of this by getting involved in helping some corporations build their software infrastructure from scratch. My professors are all very supportive and encouraging and seem eager for me to participate too! This is a great opportunity for me as it will give me hands-on experience in many different areas in addition to furthering my technical knowledge…

I also want to add that it would be an excellent opportunity for you if you were considering taking up graduate studies or wanted to teach computer science courses in high schools or colleges…
