License Lookup Florida Board Of Nursing

The Florida Board of Nursing is the state agency responsible for licensing and regulating the practice of nursing in Florida. It issues professional licenses to registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nurse assistants (CNAs). Nurses are also required to renew their licenses every two years. To do so, they must complete continuing education courses and pay a renewal fee before their license is renewed by the board.

1. Before you begin, please make sure you have:

  • Your license number.
  • A valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover).
  • A printer available to print the confirmation receipt once you are finished with your transaction and have logged out of the nurse practitioner license lookup system.

2. Your license number available;

The best way to find your license number is to look on the front of your Florida nursing license. License numbers are in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. If you do not have your license with you, we can help you locate it by using either a mobile or desktop browser.

You will need a Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number (TIN) in order to use this service.

3. A valid credit card; and

You will need to pay a fee to receive the results. The cost of this service is $2.00 for each search, and you will be charged for each license searched. You may also be charged additional fees for requesting copies of documents, certificates or other information from the Bureau.

If you wish to print your results, we will provide you with an Official Certificate of License Verification (PDF) which can be printed out at any time after the request has been made by selecting the “Print Now” button below on this screen or by calling us toll-free at 1-888-269-6332 during our normal business hours: Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST – Saturday 8:30 am – 1:00 pm EST

4. A printer available to print the confirmation receipt.

  • If you do not have a printer, you may use the free web app.
  • You can also use a public printer.
  • Or you can use the free app on your phone to sign in and request a receipt through email.
