The following is just a sample list of scholarships that you may be eligible for based on your academic performance, ethnicity, location and disability (or other factors). Each scholarship has its own set of criteria that must be met in order to qualify.
- The GatorLink Scholarship Program offers merit-based awards to incoming freshmen or transfer students with an ACT composite score between 23 – 26 or an SAT combined critical reading/math score between 1160 – 1280. - The Goldwater Scholarship is open only to undergraduates who have been nominated by their institutions and chosen by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. It was established in 1986 as an outgrowth of Senator Barry M Goldwater’s efforts for higher education reform throughout his long career in politics; he was one of America’s most influential senators and served five terms (1953 – 1965) before becoming President Lyndon B Johnson’s running mate in 1964 election campaign against Republican presidential candidate Richard Nixon .

How much is the Bright Futures Scholarship?
For fall 2019, each award will be $241 per credit hour up to 12 credit hours (for a maximum of $3,443). Awards are based on your grades from high school, so if you’re thinking about transferring to another institution after graduation make sure your current coursework lines up with their requirements before you apply! UF Provost Scholarship
The UF Provost Scholarship is a merit-based award available to incoming freshmen and transfer students who have been admitted to the university. To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled full time (12 hours minimum)
- In good academic standing as defined by your college or school of admission
- A Florida resident or non-resident student with a parent or guardian who has resided in Florida for at least 12 consecutive months prior to enrollment in an undergraduate degree program at UF; this requirement may be waived if you are the child of a faculty member, honorably discharged veteran or dependent child of an employee who is eligible for tuition benefits from UF’s Veterans Program; proof required if requested.
- A United States citizen or permanent resident
Scholarship for Excellence
The scholarship for excellence is an academic scholarship that is available to incoming freshmen admitted into the University of Florida. The student must also have a 3.5 GPA or higher and be in the top 10% of their high school class. Students must fill out a short online form with basic information about themselves and upload a copy of their transcript from their high school or home school before applying for this scholarship.

Endowed scholarships are awarded to students who meet specific criteria. These scholarships are for students who have a strong academic record, financial need, and demonstrated leadership ability.
Students who meet these three main criteria can apply for the UF Endowed Scholarships in different ways:
- Their GPA is above 3.5
- They have financial need
- They demonstrate leadership potential
Tax Credit Gifts
A tax credit gift is a great way to give back to the community. Your donation may be eligible for a tax credit that can be used to offset the cost of tuition, room and board. Tax credits are nontaxable so your gift will have more impact on our students.
