North Carolina

While many North Carolina colleges and universities require SAT or ACT scores for admission, there are a few that don’t. This list includes some of the state’s most respected institutions of higher education.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro does not require SAT or ACT scores. In fact, the only requirement for admission is a high school diploma or equivalent.
UNC-Greensboro has consistently been recognized as a top liberal arts university in the southeastern United States. It offers more than 60 undergraduate majors and nearly 30 graduate programs. The university’s athletic program competes in the NCAA Division III South Atlantic Conference.

The University of North Carolina at Wilmington does not require SAT or ACT scores for admission. In fact, the only requirement for admission is a high school diploma or equivalent.
UNC-Wilmington was founded in 1798 as Wilmington College, one of the first public universities in the United States. Today, UNC-Wilmington offers more than 200 undergraduate and graduate degree programs to more than 6,000 students. The campus is located just north of Wilmington, North Carolina, on Cape Fear River. The school’s athletic program competes in the NCAA Division I Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

North Dakota

North Dakota is one of the least-populated states in the United States, with a population of just over 865,000 people. That means that there are plenty of opportunities to get a quality education without having to worry about sat scores.

There are 15 colleges in North Dakota that don’t require SAT or ACT scores. They include five public universities (Bismarck State, Dickinson State, Grand Forks State, Hamline University, and North Dakota State University) and 10 private universities (Augsburg College, Benedictine College, Bison Technical College, Bottineau Community College, Concordia College-Moorhead, Concordia College-Sioux Falls, Dakota Wesleyan University, Eastern New Mexico University-Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Hendrix College-Missouri Valley Campus, Jensen Institute of Theology and Human Sciences at Trinity Christian College/Southern New Hampshire University), plus two career colleges (Central Lakes College and Northern Plains College).

Tennessee

Tennessee has a few colleges that don’t require SAT scores. These colleges are popular for students who are looking for less pressure and more opportunity.

Middle Tennessee State University is one of the top public universities in Tennessee and doesn’t require SAT scores for admission. This university has a variety of programs to choose from, and the professors are respected throughout the nation.

The University of Memphis is another top public university in Tennessee that doesn’t require SAT scores for admission. This university offers a variety of degree programs, including engineering and law. The professors here are known for their excellence in their fields, and the students have consistently been ranked among the best in the nation.

Eastern Tennessee State University also doesn’t require SAT scores for admission. This university is known for its strong business program and its many opportunities for scholarships.
