André-Marie Lévesque
André-Marie Lévesque was the 37th Prime Minister of Canada, serving from October 1984 to November 1990. Lévesque is a three time former Governor General of Quebec, having served from 1989 to 1994. He was also a Member of the Canadian Senate for the Liberal Party of Canada from 1970 to 1984 and again from 1988 to 1990.
Born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, on 9 July 1932, Lévesque is the son of André Lévesque Sr., a lumber merchant and anglophone, and Françoise Lavallée, a francophone Catholic homemaker. After completing his secondary education at Collège de la Bathurst in 1950, he studied at McGill University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1953 and a Master of Arts degree in 1954.
Lévesque began his political career as an aide to Jean Lesage, then Mayor of Montreal. In 1966, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the riding of Berthier—Maskinongé—Tob cyt. He was re-elected in 1970 and served until his appointment as Governor General on 31 August 1989.

Barbara Yeager
Barbara Yeager, a notable alumni of the University of Toronto, is a physicist who has made significant contributions to the field of quantum mechanics. Yeager was born in 1939 in Toronto, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in 1963. She completed her doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley in 1968.
Yeager has since held positions at universities across North America and Europe, and is currently a professor emeritus at Ohio State University. She has published more than 120 papers on quantum mechanics and related topics, and is widely considered to be one of the world’s leading experts on the subject.
Yeager was elected to the Royal Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters in 2002, and she has also been awarded several other prestigious awards including the Wolf Prize in Physics (2008), the Dirac Medal (2010), and the Order of Canada (2013).

Christina Lusardi
Christina Lusardi, an alumnus of the University of Toronto, is a successful entrepreneur and investor. She currently serves as the co-founder and CEO of The Lean Startup Company, which encourages entrepreneurship and innovation in the startup sector. Christina’s other ventures include Bumblebee, a social media company that helps women connect with one another; ClassDojo, a social learning platform that helps students learn at their own pace; and Hootsuite, a social media management tool.
Christina was born in Italy and grew up in Toronto. She joined the University of Toronto as an electrical engineering student, but soon discovered her true passion for business. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in 2005, she co-founded ClassDojo with her then-boyfriend Jon Haver. The company quickly became one of the top educational tools on the market, and was acquired by Hootsuite in 2013. Christina has since continued to lead Hootsuite as its CEO.
Christina’s success as an entrepreneur is evident not just from her accomplishments within her own companies, but also from her work with various charitable causes. She is a Founding Member of The Lean Startup Company and its President for North America. In
