- [Citizens of Urban Regions and the Environment (CURE) Scholarships](https://www.aacn.nche.edu/students/awards-scholarships/cure): The CURE award is given to full-time masters and doctoral nursing students who are conducting research on health problems associated with urbanization and urban environments, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, asthma, obesity, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, violence or mental illness. The award is for $6,000 to help cover tuition and other expenses related to the research project.

: This program offers financial support in exchange for a service commitment of practicing at an approved critical shortage facility upon graduation from your nursing program. If you have outstanding educational loans, they may be paid off through this scholarship program as well; however it’s important to note that this is a very competitive scholarship with only 1 out of 10 applicants being accepted each year!
- [Nursing Education Scholarship Program](https://www.aacn.nche.edu/students/awards-scholarships/nesp): This program provides scholarships for military nurses pursuing their bachelor’s of science degree in nursing (BSN). Eligibility requirements include being enrolled in an accredited nursing school that leads to BSN eligibility and serving in the US Army Reserve or Army National Guard while completing your BSN degree requirements during your academic years at school (part-time).
University of Liverpool scholarship
- What is the scholarship about?
The University of Liverpool in the UK is offering a health-related scholarship for international students who are going to study an undergraduate or postgraduate nursing degree.
- How to Apply: Applicants must have already applied to study at the university and need to submit their application by the deadline.
- Deadlines: All general applications are due by March 31, 2019, but final decisions will be made on June 28th of that year. The institution has rolling admission deadlines throughout the year, so it’s important to make sure you get your application completed before your particular program’s deadline. You can check with your department for more information. If you’re interested in this scholarship and don’t have a place at Liverpool yet, you should apply as soon as possible.
- Eligibility Requirements: In order to qualify for this award, candidates must be able to show proof that they are self-funded prior to enrolling in any program at Liverpool—in other words, if you already have funding from another source (like a government grant), then you won’t qualify for this particular opportunity.
This competition is open only for applicants from outside of Europe who wish to pursue one of our BSc (Hons) Nursing degrees offered within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Liverpool University
International Merit Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
- Eligibility:
- Not already being a student at UWM
- Cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
- SAT score of 1250 or higher OR ACT score of 26 or higher
Amount: $6,000 ($3,000 per year for two years). Additional $500 stipends are awarded to students who choose to study abroad during their junior or senior years.
Application deadline: February 1, 2020
University of South Australia International Merit Awards
This award is available to students from countries outside of Australia with an approved application. The program will cover the full cost of tuition fees, but you must meet all the eligibility requirements to be eligible for the scholarship.
The University of South Australia does not typically offer scholarships to international students. However, we are pleased to offer a limited number of awards for outstanding academic performance in the International Merit Awards Program. These awards are available for full-time study and include tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses at UoSA’s main campus in Adelaide.

- The Fund for Johns Hopkins Nursing
- The scholarship is designed to demonstrate the commitment of Johns Hopkins School of Nursing toward students pursuing their education in nursing to enter the field and lead with excellence in clinical practice, research, policy, and education.
- Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time in the MSN program or DNP program at JHSON, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the time of application submission and continue to maintain a 3.5 minimum cumulative GPA throughout the scholarship period. Previous recipients may apply for renewal of funding for one additional academic year by submitting an updated resume that includes a summary of activities related to the scholarship during the previous academic year and a letter from their advisor confirming set advancement toward degree completion; however, renewal is not guaranteed
- Scholarship award amounts vary based on available funding but generally range from $1,000 – $10,000 per student per academic year (July 1 – June 30). Some scholarships may be applied to tuition only while others can be used toward tuition & direct costs (e.g., books). Applicants will be notified via email if they are awarded financial support by June 15th prior to each fall semester start date (i.e., 2020 recipients will be notified by June 15th 2019)
