In order to obtain RN licensure in South Carolina, you will need to submit an application and pay a fee. The application can be downloaded from the website of the state board of nursing and submitted with your supporting documents. When submitting your application, you must include proof of completion of all nursing courses as well as proof that you have passed all parts of the NCLEX-RN exam. 4 Steps to Getting an LPN License in South Carolina

• Apply for the NCLEX-PN. You must complete this step before applying for your state’s license, whether you are an LPN or RN.

6 Verifying South Carolina Nursing Licenses

You can verify the status of your SC nursing license by following these steps:

• First, you need to find the number of your NCLEX-RN™. You can do this by logging into Pearson Vue and clicking on the “My Account” button at the top right corner of your screen.
• Next, choose “Verify Your Certification” from the dropdown menu and enter your NCLEX-RN™ in order get started. Then click “Next Step” to continue with verifying your certification information (this should bring up a window for entering either a social security number or date of birth).

7 Find out how to get your nursing license in South Carolina

South Carolina is one of the easiest states to get a nursing license, with only two steps and a $160 fee. You’ll need to pass the NCLEX-RN exam and submit your application for licensure online or by mail. Once you’ve submitted your application, South Carolina will send you a temporary certificate that allows you to work as an LVN until they process your paperwork and issue your permanent RN license.
