• While primarily an undergraduate institution, in recent years Penn State Behrend has added several master’s degree programs.

Edinboro University

Edinboro University is a public university located in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. Though it’s not a dedicated nursing school, it has a bachelor’s degree program in nursing through its School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The university has about 6,000 students and a student-to-faculty ratio of 15:1. Its acceptance rate is 71% and its overall graduation rate is 54%.

Mercyhurst University

Mercyhurst University is a private, co-educational, Catholic liberal arts university in the United States. It was founded in 1926 by the Sisters of Mercy, and has a student body of about 2,000 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students. The main campus consists of 100 acres (40 ha) in Erie, Pennsylvania; it also operates two satellite locations: one on State Street in downtown Erie and Mercyhurst North East (formerly the North East Campus) located 56 miles north east of the main campus. The University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and numerous national professional organizations.

The College offers more than 90 academic programs including associate’s degrees through doctorates. Most programs are offered at both its Erie and North East campuses, with a number of programs also offered online.
