Webster University
Founded in 1915, Webster University is a private, non-profit university serving students at over 100 campuses worldwide. Its nursing program, though not large by any means, offers the kind of personalized education that many prospective nursing students are looking for. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program takes four years on average to complete with full-time study, and two to three years with part-time study. If you have an associate degree or diploma from a recognized institution in the United States and wish to take your studies further by earning a BSN, Webster also has an RN-to-BSN completion program for you.
Webster’s small class sizes means that there is more opportunity for student-teacher interaction than in some other programs. This can be especially helpful if studying is not your strongest suit or if you need special help developing your bedside manner. Classes are taught by experienced instructors who have held teaching positions at colleges across the country like Oregon Health & Science University and the University of Texas at El Paso.
The program itself is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The NCLEX pass rates are significantly higher than national averages as well: 100% of graduates passed the exam in 2016 and 2017!
