Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a high school senior in the state of Pennsylvania or a resident now attending college out of state
- Be the son, daughter, stepson, or stepdaughter of a Master Mason in good standing and holding membership in the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania; or be a Master Mason in good standing and holding membership in the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania
- Applicant must be pursuing post-secondary education at either an accredited college, trade school, business school, seminary or university. A copy of current course catalog/bulletin is required before award will be made. Home study students are not eligible
- Have maintained an overall grade average equivalent to 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

PEO, which stands for Philanthropic Educational Organization, is a philanthropic organization that provides educational and leadership opportunities for women in the United States and Canada. PEO has six international chapters in the United States and Canada. In addition to scholarships, PEO also supports loans, grants, awards and stewardship of Cottey College. The project began in 1869 at Iowa Wesleyan College when seven female students organized a secret society with the goal of raising money to fund the education of other female students. With several locations throughout North America today, PEO aims to help women seek educational scholarships while inspiring them to reach their goals by offering mentorship programs as well as financial aid opportunities.
The Program for Continuing Education (PCE) is a grant designed specifically for women who have interrupted their education but wish to return to college or university. The PCE program was founded on January 12th, 1973 after several members of chapter EO suggested that the organization address the needs of working mothers who had halted their education due to domestic responsibilities or limited finances. This program provides need-based grants on an annual basis ranging from $2,000-$3,000 per awardee depending on circumstances such as tuition cost and financial need. Priority is given to applicants who are seeking primary degrees without having completed secondary degrees such as bachelor’s or doctorate degrees previously. Applicants must be attending accredited colleges or universities within the United States or Canada full-time while working full-time jobs outside of school at least 25 hours a week during each semester or quarter they receive funding through this program.
Altrusa International Inc. of Conejo Valley District 8 offers two scholarships to women, one for graduate study and one for undergraduate study. Applicants must be residents of Ventura County and be attending an accredited school in the United States.
