To counter these challenges, NPMA is assembling a team of forward-thinking professionals from across multiple disciplines to develop a strategic plan for the future of our industry. Operating under the guidance of a task force led by former National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Chair John Kane and current incoming Chair Eric Smith, this team will do more than just brainstorm possible solutions. Using best practices and proven techniques developed in other industries, they will analyze data and identify opportunities while culling unique perspectives from stakeholders on the frontlines. As we audaciously aim to answer fundamental questions about what’s next for our industry and how to get there, it’s important that we hear from as many different voices as possible along the way.”

This process will be led by the industry, with guidance and support from NPMA’s new strategic partners.
Phase two efforts will focus on:

- Developing a unified marketing and communications program that positions the pest management profession in a positive light among consumers; local communities; and state, county, city, town and village officials. Assets developed through this initiative can be used by all NPMA members at no cost.
- Creating tools to help member companies navigate changing regulatory requirements so they can sustainably grow their businesses while meeting their legal obligations.
