QuestBridge Finalists can apply to Yale through the QuestBridge College Match application, a binding option for students who wish to be considered for an admission offer of financial aid and enroll at Yale if admitted.

As a QuestBridge Finalist, you can apply to Yale through the QuestBridge College Match application, a binding option for students who wish to be considered for an admission offer of financial aid and enroll at Yale if admitted. Students who wish to apply non-binding Early Action (EA) or Regular Decision (RD) can do so using the Common Application.

When should I submit my application?

Applications are due by November 1. You should aim to complete your application at least one week before the deadline in case of any last-minute delays.

What happens after I submit my application?

After submitting your application, log into your account and make sure all of your materials have been received. You can check on each material individually or on all materials at once using the “Check Materials Status” feature in the navigation bar. We recommend that students consider Alternate Schools when completing their list of 12 schools because some students who applied Regular Decision may not be matched and admitted to a school through QuestBridge National College Match. If you do not match and receive admission to a college through QuestBridge National College Match, we will continue to process your Regular Decision applications until April 1st and contact you with an update on your application status as soon as they become available after that date. Is applying Regular Decision binding? No, applying under QuestBridge National College Match Regular Decision is not a binding program: no matter what happens after submitting your applications, you are free to accept an offer from another school or defer admission until next year (if possible).

There are three ways you can apply to Yale for first-year admission—Single-Choice Early Action, Regular Decision, and the QuestBridge National College Match—and there is no preference in admissions among these options.

• QuestBridge College Match: This is a binding option for students who wish to be considered for an offer of admission and financial aid from Yale, but only if admitted (see below). You must apply to Yale through the QuestBridge National College Match application.
• Regular Decision: You may apply by regular or early action to any number of colleges or universities through the Common Application or Coalition Application. If admitted under either plan and choosing Yale, you will be required to withdraw your applications from other institutions.
• Single-Choice Early Action: You may only apply single-choice early action to one institution each year; applying single-choice early action places restrictions on your ability to initiate applications at other institutions during this time period (see below).

• QuestBridge receives over 11,000 applications annually, making acceptance a competitive process.
• Based on the data from the 2015 National College Match, there were approximately 4 times as many students who applied to college partners through QuestBridge than received finalist positions.
• However, around 3 out of 4 Finalists in the National College Match receive an offer of admission and generous financial aid from one or more college partners.
• In addition, about 2 out of 5 Finalists who do not match with a college partner receive an offer of admission and generous financial aid from one or more non-partner colleges.
