University of Phoenix
University of Phoenix is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). HLC is one of six regional accreditors in the United States. The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) lists it as a nationally recognized accreditor.

American Military University, or AMU, is a regionally accredited school that accepts DETC credits. AMU offers online bachelor’s degrees, associate’s degrees and certificate programs. The school was founded in 1975 and has campuses in Virginia and Colorado. It offers online courses through its American Public University System division. The university says it offers a unique value proposition because it allows military members to complete their education while serving abroad or on active duty status as well as civilians who want to pursue an affordable degree without leaving home.
AMU does not accept apprenticeship or technical training certificates from DETC for transfer credit toward its educational programs; however, it does accept select military training for credit:
